Featuring gauzy, flowing fabrics, silk embroidered petals, crocheted aprons, wide-brimmed straw hats and dainty, ribbon-tie heels, this afternoon's Alberta Ferretti show was designed with a cool, summer's afternoon in mind.



With music from A Room with a View playing in the background, the models glided down the runway in a procession of beautiful dresses, cut from lavender, citron or pale cream cloth.

 Accessories came in the form of leather belts, mini bucket bags and ladylike sun hats designed to keep their wearer's skin porcelain white.

 Emerging trends for the coming season played out with bra tops and shorts peaking out under sheer blousy dresses, but in the main this was Ferretti's show and her themes, shapes and shades.
