I’m moving out

So…I’m moving out. Don’t worry, it’s not that F-I-L decided he much preferred his one bedroom to himself while I was away downward dogging in Morocco, no, it’s just that the time has come.

It was only meant to be for a few months, and now Sam has got himself a proper job it seems right that we stop behaving like children and get a place of our own, or at least Sam gets a place of his own.

For my continued sins, and because my contract's now finished, I am moving back to Cornwall to live with my parents for a few months. A therapist would have a field day with all this – any takers?

I’ve decided to (try to) write a novel. I’ve been trying for years already but have had no to little success. Okay, no success. which is where the big empty house in Cornwall comes in handy. I just don’t think I’ll do it up here with all the distractions that a city with actual things to do provides. The town where I grew up in the West Country has no cinema, no theatre, a couple of sticky carpeted pubs and none of my friends. I went to school a good 25 miles away so those of my school-mates who haven’t moved up country are in a city an hour’s drive away. Which means that it’ll be just me, Mum, Dad and my new Apple Mac for company.

This is turning out to be an odd year.
