Welcome to the Ruby Slippers, my new blog about shoes.

It was because of my very own pair of ruby slippers that I got my first job at Marie Claire.

Red, round-toed pumps with a three-inch heel, they were and still are my dream shoes. There were many shoes before and there have been many since – including today’s black patent ballet pumps.

The blog will be a mixture of shoe news, pictures of shoes I love and lots and lots of dreamy shoes.

So to kick us off today is shoe designer Rupert Sanderson’s pop-up shop in Paris department store Bon Marche to kick off Paris Fashion Week (see picture for an example of his beautiful work).
