Why can't it be Halloween every day?

Every weekend I dress up and go dancing somewhere, it’s a compulsion, I‘m a binge dancer, I don‘t touch a dance floor all week and then come Friday or Saturday - preferably both - I dance for hours non-stop, usually in a corset and as many accessories as there is space on my head and body.

Halloween is like the ultimate night of the year for me as everyone dresses up and I can be a vamp-ire and wear fangs and black talons with spider webs on them and no one bats an eyelid. ‘Scuse the pun.

And that’s what I did on Friday night. I went to a Mexican Day of the Dead party at Jamm in Brixton where myself and my girlz ran a stall for my burlesque hat and clothing business (www.kissmycherry.com) which was frankly disastrous; we only sold one skull brooch and an eye patch to a rockabilly who dared to barter with us for our already very reasonably priced good – the rocka-cheek! Still, we were dressed up and dancing so that slightly soothed the pain of not even being able to afford ourselves that night.

I’m going to wear fangs this weekend too and bite anyone that asks for a discount; it’s a credit crunch not credit insult-me-to-MY-frickin'-face right?! Grrrrrrrrrrr.
