What we've been up to…
Posted by Megan Conner at 14:57 on 5 Sep 2008
We may have just come through the holiday season (has anyone else got that ‘back to school’ feeling?) but the life on the entertainment desk has been anything but quiet. In fact, we’ve been having a very busy summer schmoozing with various celebs for this month’s entertainment-packed issue (out today).
First, Entertainment Ed Harvey flew to New York to interview our October cover star, Beyonce. Check out the pics here.
Meanwhile, Ents Pics Ed Tom and I were at home (the office), eating lots of chocolate and labouring over our annual music portfolio. This year we photographed and interviewed no less than twelve of our favourite female music stars (there are so many fab ladies around at the minute, who needs men?), including Duffy and Alicia Keys. The highlight? Trailing the Sugababes on the day of their photocall with Nelson Mandela.
Next, we got exclusive access to Bryan Adams’ pics (yes the rocker is also a photographer) for Hear The World, an initiative to raise awareness of hearing loss. Amy Winehouse and Lindsay Lohan joined him in lending their ears to the campaign (sadly we didn’t get to meet them).
Then, I caught up with transvestite-turned-dramatic actor Eddie Izzard on the blower (he was in the States on tour), before meeting the tres-lovely Emilia Fox and her mum, actress Joanna David on our ‘Like Mother, Like Daughter’ shoot.
Now that’s what I call entertainment!
