The wedding
Posted by Emma Sibbles at 12:54 on 30 Jun 2008
The sun didn't shine on Saturday but the bride did. Everyone was beaming with joy but no one more than the happy couple. Looking around the church while we waited for the bride (fashionably late) I noticed that there is no stopping the popularity of the fascinator. There were one or two hats but they were far outnumbered by their jauntier cousin.
I managed to keep mine on until after the service when the excruciating pain of the hair-band took over and I stuffed it in my handbag. No amount of champagne was going to make that bearable for a moment longer.
The groom is a sweet fan and so each table was named after a sweet - I was on the Percy Pig table - and there was a table groaning with penny sweets for those who didn’t think a full carvery was enough. Yum.
The bride wore a beautiful ivory gown with a sweetheart neck and a low back with hundreds of tiny buttons down the back. In lieu of a veil she also wore a fascinator and her bridesmaid wore a sweet patterned strapless dress with an orchid corsage.

Dear Emma,
Have been reading your blog for a while, didn't have the courage to write thinking that one will never get a reply.
This article reminds me of SATC, lucky brides beam their way to happily ever after, when I type away in the office, saving on my retirement fund.
Anyway, know that you are a true fashion junkie and thought you would like to know that my hotel, the new Four Seasons in Macau will feature an enormous shopping complex called "The Shoppes at Four Seasons" with exclusive limited edition luxury items (eg. the exclusive for Macau "It"-bag) that is available in Macau but nowhere else in the world.
You are cordially invited to come to Macau and check out these items if you are interested. I go back to my monotonous email checking now.
Cheers,
Prima
