Maria Sharapova in her Nike tuxedo

Every year there is some sort of tabloid uproar over what the women of Wimbledon (the players, not the people who live there) are wearing on court. This year step forward Maria Sharapova who has said she finds her miniscule minis too distracting and has instead opted for a more masculine dress. Since when were hotpants and a halterneck top masculine? Crikey. Even The Sun approve.

Serena Williams wore a white trench coat to practice in. Now that's just practical considering it rains every year.

But why all the hoo hah over what the women wear? What of the men? There's Nadal's pirate bandana and Federer's Status Quo headband/sweatband combination. And what about the length of their shorts? Oh. Come on boys mix it up a bit.

Have your say ...
