Unprepared to bare

How come every summer I end up unprepared for nice weather? I think because summer in Britain is such a transitory experience - will it or won’t it? - one doesn't prepare just in case the sun never appears.

But, unexpectedly, this week it has.

So this morning I was juggling breakfast of croissant and jam with fake tan, trying not to spread the latter on the croissant and the jam on my legs. It's quite an ordeal I assure you. My feet are ruined from yesterday's flip flops so I had to find another pair of shoes that worked (and were comfy without tights) and put sun cream on.

The worst thing? I'll just get the hang of it as it starts raining again.
