Tom turns geeky

LG phone

Last Friday I was invited to an event that was SUPER GEEKY!

I am not very techy, and so picture me, seated in a room at the Mayfair Hotel (v.swanky, I obviously really fitted in, looking like a bearded homeless man) with a group of bloggers who do not blog about Girls Aloud and Geri Haliwell and what was for dinner last night. OH NO! They blog about technology and harddrives and ftps and things made of plastic metal that cost £300, which enable you to talk to people via satellite and video and such.

It was a low-key launch of a new mobile phone made by LG and as someone who would be happy with two yoghurt pots and a bit of string, I was actually quite impressed and could quite easily become a super techy geek.... Worrying.

The phone had lots of functions that I didn't really understand ( DivX (!!) a 5 megapixel camera - the thinnest in the world in a mobile appara - and a built in game that is like a Wii.) But it did have a screen that can't be shattered. That's amazing!

It was also touch screen and was shiny and to be honest, that's the most important aspect of a phone. That and the fact you can feel it in your pocket when you're on the night bus, so someone doesn't steal it.

Have your say ...
