Escaping the office

Passport

Three days until holiday time.

This is what I have learnt...

Booking a holiday on the internet is very stressful and almost impossible.

Going into Thomas Cook is the easy option and cheap and hassle free.

A new passport costs SEVENTY TWO POUNDS.

The passport office will send your new passport (complete with Spooks-style microchip) to your proper home home address where you don't live anymore.

Getting a visa involves lots of queuing.

Going away means that you have to get all of your work done in super-speedy record time, as no one will do it when you're away. Rubbish.

FYI: If anyone has been to GOA and survived, feel free to recommed places that aren't 'Brits abroad?.

South Goa all the way, avoid the North if you don't want to be a typical Brit abroad! I like Cavelossim myself...
