When it comes to red carpet dressing, Marchesa has been one of the most talked about design houses of the year. Its ethereal gowns became a regular fixture at award ceremonies, premieres and parties, seen on the likes of Dita Von Teese, Jessica Alba and Jennifer Lopez. In our opinion, it was Anne Hathaway who really stood out from the sea of Marchesa-clad celebrities this year, stealing the show at the 2008 Oscars in this stunning asymmetric gown. Kudos to the actress for not succumbing to the spray tan, like so many of her contemporaries, and instead embracing her English rose complexion.
