Karl Lagerfeld - Chanel Contemporary Art Opening - Gallery
Cool customer Karl Lagerfeld is the brains behind the Chanel Contemporary Art Container. The mobile art pavilion in Central Park was designed and made by acclaimed architect Zaha Hadid, who described it as 'an entire landscape for the art work, rather than just an exhibition space'. The 'container' was designed to display artworks that have been inspired by Chanel's 2.55 - its iconic quilted chain-strap handbag.
