The Great Gatsby World Premiere
Find out which stars hit the red carpet for the world premiere of The Great Gatsby in New York
The Great Gatsby
After what seems like years of build-up and anticipation, Baz Luhrmann's new big screen adaptation of The Great Gatsby is finally here, with the star-studded cast hitting the red carpet in New York last night for the film's world premiere. Lead stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Carey Mulligan, who play Jay Gatsby and Daisy Buchanan respectively, led the style charge wearing a sharp midnight blue suit (him) and a tomato red strapless dress (her). They were joined by their The Great Gatsby co-stars including Tobey Maguire, who was accompanied by his jewellery designer wife Jennifer Meyer, Australian actress Isla Fisher and fellow Aussie Joel Edgerton. The film's director, Baz Luhrmann, was also in attendance, alongside his costume designer wife, Catherine Martin, who worked on the 1920s-set film. As well as the starry A-list cast and its glamorous Jazz Age setting, The Great Gatsby also has fans excited because of its soundtrack, which features a whole host of famous musicians, including British singers Florence Welch and Emeli Sande, who attended the world premiere as well.
