Kristen Stewart: style evolution

Kristen Stewart

From Chanel to Balenciaga, Kristen Stewart?s style repertoire reads like a who's who of fashion heavyweights.

The actress is friends with all the best designers (Hi Karl Lagerfeld and Nicolas Ghesquiere) and is often spotted shopping for her next look on the front rows in Paris. Her favourite labels include Chanel, Louis Vuitton and Balenciaga, and she usually chooses edgy mini length dresses and muted sparkle on the red carpet, over any cliché fashion silhouettes.

Kristen started her red carpet training young, first stepping into the spotlight to promote her 2001 film Panic Room, when she was just 11. And she's hardly moved from the forefront of the industry since, graduating from sweet dresses to mega gowns before our very eyes.

It was in 2008, however that K-Stew hit the big time, landing a life-changing role as Bella Swan in the Twilight series. She met her leading man, Robert Pattinson, and the Twi-hard fans came out in force to scrutinise her every style choice on the global press tours.

When she's off-duty, however, Kristen changes tack completely, and is more likely to be spotted in ripped denim, grubby Converse and a baseball cap than a ballgown. But the trick is in how she wears it. Her tomboy skinny silhouette always looks effortlessly cool and, let?s face it, we all wish we looked that good when we'd made no effort at all.

First up, Kristen is at the Cafe Society premiere in New York, wearing a semi-sheer Victoriana dress by Chanel.
