Whether it’s supporting the energy conservation campaign Act Green alongside Cameron Diaz, or buying chlorine-free nappies for son Moses, Gwyneth Paltrow, together with husband Chris Martin, has long been at the forefront of the new generation of environmentally aware celebs. Her passion for green issues began at an early age and her actress mother, Blythe Danner, has been a particular inspiration, having been involved in recycling and conservation initiatives in Los Angeles and New York for more than 30 years. It was only natural that she should follow her parents’ lead. ‘It makes sense and you feel compelled to do the same,’ says Paltrow.
