An only child, Kristin fantasised about being an actress from the age of ten. But her dreams wouldn’t be realised until 1995, when she landed the role of bitchy Brooke Campbell on hit US TV show Melrose Place.Her journey from home-town Colorado to New York took her via South Carolina, where she lived with her mum and adoptive stepfather until she graduated high school, and then New Jersey, where she attended Rutgers University.After graduation, she headed to NY, where she waited tables and opened a yoga studio (her huge passion), before Melrose Place came calling. In 1998, she won the role that also won her superstardom - as well-to-do Charlotte York in Sex and the City.Kristin was nominated for an Emmy in 2004 for her part in the hit drama, and has reprised her role for its film version, Sex and the City: The Movie. All of the show’s four main characters were hailed as style icons but Charlotte says, off-screen, ‘I’m definitely not a fashionista,’ although she admits to being a ‘hardcore Prada addict’.Love life? She’s dated Alec Baldwin, Jeff Goldblum and Naomi Watts’ current partner, Liv Schreiber. Most recently, Kristin has been linked to New York based film producer Nick Leone.
