Jennifer originally went to university to study chemistry but shortly after changed her major to drama. She took small roles in movies including, Dude Where's My Car? playing Ashton Kutcher's girlfriend and Pearl Harbour, but her first highly successful role was playing Sydney Bristow in the TV spy drama Alias.
Her television success propelled her to the next level and she went on to star in films Catch Me If You Can, Daredevil and 13 Going on 30.
Jennifer married actor, Scott Foley, in 2000 but the couple divorced in 2004 citing irreconcilable differences. She began dating Ben Affleck in 2004 and the couple married a year later, before having their first child, Violet, in December 2005.
