The daughter of legendary actress Goldie Hawn, Kate was born in Los Angeles in 1979 and entered the acting world at a young age.Her breakthough role came in 2000 playing Penny Lane in Almost Famous, winning her a Best Supporting Actress Academy Award nomination and a Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress.Kate went on to star in more hit films including, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, Raising Helen and more recently, Bride Wars, in which she starred alongside Anne Hathaway. She married The Black Crowes frontman, Chris Robinson, in 2000, and gave birth to their son, Ryder, in 2004. The couple separated two years later and their divorced was finalised in 2007. Kate has since had relationships with American actors Dax Shepard and Owen Wilson, and cyclist Lance Armstrong. She briefly dated New York Yankees player Alex Rodriguez, but is now in a relationship with Muse frontman Matt Bellamy, with whom she is expecting a child this year.
