Born in Middlesex in 1985 into a showbiz family, Keira began acting as a child with television appearances in shows like The Bill, before being cast as Queen Padmé's decoy in the highly successful Star Wars: The Phantom Menace in 1999.

Her breakthrough role in Bend It Like Beckham thrust her into the international arena and after roles in Pride and Prejudice playing Elizabeth Bennet, British romcom Love Actually, and action-adventure trilogy Pirates of the Caribbean, Keira is now seen as one of Britain's hottest acting exports. Her performance in the film adaptation of Ian McEwan's novel, Atonement, won her a BAFTA nomination for Best Actress.

Keira famously graced the cover of Vanity Fair nude alongside Scarlett Johansson and designer Tom Ford and her red carpet style in dresses from Valentino to Rodarte has seen her top of many a best-dressed list. She is also the face of the Coco Mademoiselle fragrance by Chanel.

She previously dated Irish fashion model, Jamie Dornan and is currently in a relationship with her Pride and Prejudice co-star, Rupert Friend.
