In rehab at just 13, Drew Barrymore is a lesson in triumph over adversity if ever there was one.
Goddaughter to Steven Spielberg and coming from a family of famous actors, Drew's career started as a baby in a commercial for dog food.
Fame was assured with her starring role in 1982's ET, but too much, too young saw her talent spiral out of control.
Neither of her two marriages, to LA bartender Jeremy Thomas and comedian Tom Green, lasted longer than 14 months, however, Drew has reinvented herself as a true Hollywood survivor.
As well as star turns in The Wedding Singer and Woody Allen's Everyone Says I Love You, Drew has found success behind the camera as a film producer, with her company, Flower Films, having scored such hits as Donnie Darko and Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle.
In 2008, Drew split from her on-off boyfriend of one year, Justin Long. Although rumours are constantly cirulating that the couple have rekindled their romance, nothing has officially been confirmed.
