She's had almost as many image changes as Madonna, but alongside the likes of Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera started her career on The Disney Channel's kid-friendly Micky Mouse Club.A bilingual singer, mixed with Irish and Ecuadorian roots, she shot to fame with the hit single Genie in a Bottle, which topped America's Billboard Charts. She picked up the first of four Grammy Awards in 2000 for Best New Artist (beating arch rival Britney in the process). In 2006 Aguilera's third album, Back to Basics, received great critical reception and helped to cement her as one of the most successful artists of the decade - having sold an incredible 42 million records worldwide.To commemorate her ten years in the music industry, she released Keeps Gettin' Better: A Decade of Hits, in November 2008. Whilst devoting most of her time to recording and touring, Christina has become heavily involved in Aids awareness campaigns, participating in many projects and charity events. In November 2005, she married American music marketer, Jordan Bratman. The singer gave birth to their first child, Max Liron Bratman, on January 12 2008. In 2010 she had a starring role in Burlesque, charting the rise of an aspiring singer.
