Kylie, aka, the Princess of Pop, rose to fame playing Charlene in Aussie soap, Neighbours. Using the show as spring board into singing, Kylie's pop career kicked off in the late 1980s with her first international single I Should Be So Lucky reaching Number 1 both in the UK and on her home turf.
Since then everyone's favourite pop star has released nine sucessful albums, with estimated sales of 65 million and Kylie's tenth album, Kylie X, is released on 26 November.
In May 2005 Kylie was forced to cancel the Australian leg of her Showgirl Tour and a performance at Glastonbury when she was diagnosed with breast cancer.
After surgery and a period of convalescence, Kylie gave her first post-cancer interview to Sky One in 2006. She resumed her Showgirl tour and released White Diamond, a documentary of the tour. Her relationship with French actor, Olivier Martinez, however, broke down.
