Liv's career began at the age of 15 modelling in commercials, but real recognition came when she starred opposite Alicia Silverstone in Aerosmith's Crazy video. Apparently she was picked after being spotted in a Pantene advert and cast before the director knew who her dad was - Aerosmith frontman, Steven Tyler.

By the age of 20 Liv had featured in several movies including, Silent Fall, Heavy and That Thing You Do, but she is best known for her performance opposite Ben Affleck in Armageddon and as Arwen in the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Liv has been voted one of the most beautiful women in the world by People magazine and now divides her time between New York and Leeds. 

Liv announced her seperatation from husband of five years Royston Langdon in May 2008 – they had son, Milo in 2004 - but the couple remain friends. She has been the face and spokesperson of Givenchy cosmetics and perfume since 2003, a contract which she has recently renewed for another two years.
