As a model, Cameron Diaz notched up campaigns for the likes of Calvin Klein, Levi's and Coca-Cola before a chance audition saw her landing the female lead in The Mask, opposite Jim Carey, in 1994.Despite no previous acting appearance, Cameron shone on the big screen and a Hollywood career beckoned.Smaller, independent releases followed before worldwide, blockbuster hit There's Something About Mary in 1998, in which Cameron starred alongside then-boyfriend Matt Dillon.Her biggest paycheque to date was for Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle, which coined her a cool $20 million. Only Julia Roberts had ever commanded so much.Diaz played the voice of Princess Fiona in the hugely popular Shrek trilogy between 2001 and 2007, and starred opposite Ashton Kutcher in the 2008 comedy What Happens in Vegas. In June 2009 Cameron received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Cameron split from long-term boyfriend Justin Timberlake in 2007 and dated British model Paul Sculfor for a year, but is now currently dating baseball star Alex Rodriguez. She starred alongside Timberlake in high school comedy Bad Teacher, due for release this year.
