Mischa moved to the USA when she was four and began her acting career at the age of nine, appearing in several Off-Broadway productions in New York.
Her film debut came in the acclaimed Lawn Dogs, which won film festival awards around the world.
Her early career saw her go on to star in films like The Sixth Sense and Notting Hill, but it was not until her role as Marissa Cooper in the hit teen drama, The O.C. that Mischa made her mark in Hollywood.
Since Mischa left the show, she has been cast in the movie, Finding t.A.T.u., The Sophamore and Malice in Sunderland.
She is also the face of designer brands including, Calvin Klein, Neutrogena and Herbal Essences, and launched her debut collection of bags and accessories in 2008.
The actress was dating The Kooks frontman Luke Pritchard for a brief period, but the pair split in March 2009.
Mischa plays one of the leading characters in new television series The Beautiful Life, which premiered on September 16, 2009.
