Natalie shot to fame as Beth Willis in the Australian soap Neighbours during the 1990s. Two years after leaving, she launched a successful pop career with the single Torn, and the album Left of the Middle. Subsequent releases include the albums White Lilies Island and Counting Down the Days.

Natalie has also contributed to the film soundtracks for Stigmata, Go, and Y Tu Mama Tambien. The singer has also branched out into modelling with beauty giant L'Oréal, and returned to acting with her role in the 2003 British comedy Johnny English.

Natalie made her second leading lady appearance in the 2009 film Closed for Winter.

She married Silverchair frontman Daniel Johns in 2003 but after five years of marriage the couple announced they were divorcing in January 2008, citing the difficulties of living far apart as the reason for their break-up.
