The actress, who took home the night’s Best Actress prize for her role in Zero Dark Thirty, took a risk and wore her striking red hair in retro ’40s-inspired waves that was quiffed back off her face and pulled it off with aplomb. She further complemented her seafoam Calvin Klein Collection gown with barely-there foundation, a touch of sparkly gold eyeshadow and a flash of dark red lipstick.

Jessica Alba also opted for old school Hollywood waves in her long hair, and wore her locks in a side parting and with lots of volume on the top. She teamed her hairstyle with matte foundation, a sweep of black mascara and a vibrant orange lip.
Thandie Newton, however, kept her hair look simple, effortless and gently tousled, while her make-up was natural and dewy with just a touch of matte colour on the lips.
While Nicole Richie’s Golden Globes hair was retro and classic, her make-up look was far more fashion-forward. The starlet matched her futuristic eyeshadow to her pastel blue dress. With such statement eyes, the rest of her make-up was natural and nude.
