Nine-Tease
Having run out of decades to reference, designers decided to take a pigeon step back in time with a return to the stripped-back philosophy of their not-so-distant youth, creating hair with minimalist simplicity. With influences ranging from Kate Moss to Kurt Cobain, the laid-back sentiment was as uncomplicated as the hair itself. For Frédéric Fekkai stylist Paul Hanlon at Altuzarra, it was all about recreating the serrated, straight (but not flat-ironed) hair of a 1990s Yves Saint Laurent ad, which he did by adding weft extensions to the models' hair and razoring the ends, with a touch of Frédéric Fekkai Piecing and Forming Wax for cool-girl separation.
