I'm worried about loss of radiance (30-40)
Cheer up! It won't take long to get some colour back into your cheeks. Rather than start piling the fake tan on, you need to get back to basics – and ask yourself some simple questions.
Have you been burning the candle at both ends?
Are you drinking enough water?
What's your diet like right now?
Once your sleeping patterns are in check and you're getting your 5 a day, plus drinking lots of filtered water, then it's time to take a look at your skincare routine.
Gentle exfoliation is the key to sparkling skin. We like Lancôme Exfoliance Clarté, £25, and Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant, £26.30. Don't 'scrub' your face with these, but use them gently and sparingly to remove dead skin cells.
A toner is also a worthy addition to your skincare routine if your skin is looking lacklustre, to ensure it isn't leftover make-up or cleansing products that's hampering your skin's full potential. Mario Badescu Aloe Vera Toner, £13.50, is a good choice for sensitive skin types, while Bliss Steep Clean Toner Pads, £26, are excellent for those prone to breakouts.
A moisturiser like Lancôme Primordiale Skin Recharge Day Cream, £23, is also an absolute must. This highly innovative moisturiser uses vitamin B8 to keep skin supple and dewy, while gentle exfoliants work throughout the day to renew the cells on the upper dermis, reducing the appearance of pores and refining any wrinkles.
Finally, chose a foundation with light-reflecting properties to really pep up your skin tone. Lancôme Photogenic Lumessence, £24, with its mother-of-pearl extracts is one of the best. Alternatively, mixing a dab of Benefit High Beam, £15.50, with your favourite foundation will have a similarly illuminating effect.
