The best cleansers: normal skin (30-40)
If you're lucky enough to have normal skin, make sure you make the most of it with a cleanser that will show off your skin to its very best advantage.
Whether you prefer a wash-off foaming cleanser or wipe-off creamy cleanser is very much down to personal preference.
If your skin errs towards a combination skin type, a foaming cleanser, like Lancôme Mousse Eclat, £17.50 which uses pineapple and papaya to clarify the skin, is a good choice. Follow up with Lancôme Tonique Clarté, £28.50 toner, which uses fruit acids to improve the skin's texture. Alternatively, Chanel Radiance Cleansing Foam Rinse-Off Cleanser, £21, is pricey but looks gorgeous in your bathroom cabinet.
If you're in a rush, or your skin suffers from the odd dry patch, Lancôme Eau Micellaire Douceur, £18.50, is a quick-fix, wipe-off cleansing water, which removes eye make-up, foundation and even stubborn lipstick.
For a more relaxed, pampering experience, Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser, £21.50, removes all make-up and impurities and smells simply delicious.
A good budget buy, meanwhile, is Urban Retreat The Cleanser, £12, which was created by renowned facialist Anastasia Achilleos and, despite the price, is packed with the best natural ingredients.
