Combination skin foundations
Just because your skin sometimes plays up, doesn't mean you should have to pile on layers of foundation and powder just to keep it under control.
Lancôme Adaptive, £25, has sebum-absorbing powders to keep your T-zone shine-free, alongside moisturing ingredients to keep your cheeks and any other dry spots glowing.
If you are prone to breakouts, a mineral foundation is a great choice for your skin type. Glo-Minerals, Jane Iredale and Lily Lolo are all tried and trusted brands to look out for, although tend to have limited distribution, so it's worth searching online to purchase.
If you are lucky enough to have blemish-free skin, try a tinted moisturiser instead. Laura Mercier Oil-Free Tinted Moisturiser, £32, is a huge favourite with beauty editors and is great for controlling oily patches while delivering a natural finish.
